Joining us could not be easier and you will be made very welcome.
To join you can choose to either:
- Download an application form. See the Our Society tab at the top of this page. Scroll down to Documents
- Email the Membership Secretary info@theartssocietysouthampton.org.uk to ask for a membership form, or
- Fill in the membership form at one of our lectures and pay by card.
Where possible the first two methods are preferable as this avoids queues on the lecture evenings.
Membership covers one season of nine talks from October to June delivered by experts in their field.
As a member you are entitled to all the benefits of belonging to The Arts Society nationally as well as locally. You will receive copies of The Arts Society informative magazine delivered three times a year and you can sign up for monthly emails with offers and discounts. In addition, you can attend Hampshire and Isle of Wight Arts Society's study courses, plus further art talks delivered around the country via Zoom. Social events and trips are also offered. Visits and study days incur an additional charge
The annual membership fee for 2025-26 remains at £46 per person. Membership will open up from September.
The fee for visitors attending individual lectures is £8 per person per lecture payable at the door by card only on lecture evenings.
Students and under 25s may attend free of charge.
Lectures are generally held on Monday evening at Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford SO53 2DW starting promptly at 19.30 and last just over an hour. Click on tab 'lectures' to see our current programme.
