WHERE WE MEET

Talks are held at Thornden Hall Arts Centre, Thornden School, Winchester Road,Chandlers Ford, SO53 2DW

The Hall seats 386 and the tiered seats are comfortable with lots of leg room. Allow time to sign in. Doors and the bar open at 6.45 pm. Lectures start promtly at 19.30 and last an hour with additional time for questions.

Getting there: You cannot see the hall from the road. Follow the signs for Thornden Hall once you are on the school site. There is ample free car parking on site.

By car: Just off Junction 12 of the M3 or (avoiding the motorway) through Chandlers Ford on the Winchester Road. Detailed instructions for routes from Southampton are available in the Documents section of this website under the “Our Society” tab.

By bus: BlueStar No 1 stops outside the school coming from Southampton or Winchester.

By train: The Hall is a 30-minute walk from Chandlers Ford Station. However, the BlueStar No 1 stops at the station.
